Eläkkeensaaja
The Central Association of Finnish Pensioners acts as a pressure group for its members, safeguarding their status and prestige in society. It provides opportunities for social intercourse, cultural and leisure pursuits, holidays and tourism. The EKL seeks to implement its objectives by influencing the political decision making at national and local level. It supports activities of the district organisations and associations and arrenges training and cultural events. Some of the primary tasks of the EKL is to improve the channels for negotiations with the government, cooperation with the trade unions and acquire more weight for the organisation.
